Coach Zavier has been around combat sports pretty much his entire life. At the age of three he would mimic the adults at the gym as they warmed up for their kickboxing classes, by the age of six he was officially training on the mats. He would spend the next few years of his life training and competing as a submission grappler and high school wrestler, while also training under many experienced coaches to improve his boxing and kickboxing techniques. As a young coach and fighter, Zavier is focused on coaching fundamentals and competing, using his experiences and skill sets to enrich the lives of others. Coach Zavier is currently an active MMA fighter and USA Boxing certified instructor and available for personal training.

Coach Julianne uses her skills and boxing experience to create a fun, energetic and open class experience for her students! Growing up around boxers and gyms, Julianne joined PCB in 2017, and has been teaching classes to an ever-growing following of students since 2018. A registered USA Boxing amateur and winner of the co-main event at the 2019 Idaho Falls Rumble in the Jungle, she is able to combine her own personal transformation and love of fitness with solid technical skills to help her clients be their best!
    Janie has over ten years of experience in the fitness industry. She is a dynamic group fitness teacher and personal trainer. She recognizes the importance of full-body engagement in both cardio- and strength-training programs, and employs a variety of modalities to keep classes and training sessions fun and interesting. She is a certified personal trainer (CPT-NASM), boxing coach (USA Boxing), nutrition coach (CNC-NASM) and kickboxing coach (9R Kickboxology), with advanced education in cardiorespiratoy fitness training and stretching and flexibility technique. She’d love to help you meet your fitness goals!

Since then, I've dedicated my life to mastering various forms of combat sports and fitness training. With extensive experience spanning over decades, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to my role as a coach at Portland City Boxing. Professional Background: My martial arts journey has been diverse and dynamic. From coaching classes as a teenager to representing Team USA in international competitions, I've honed my skills across different disciplines. My commitment to excellence led me to join the Navy, where I was entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing physical training for my entire unit. Whether it was preparing individuals for PT tests or instilling discipline and resilience, I embraced the challenge with determination. From there I worked my way up and honed in my skills working at various gyms around town until I opened my own gym Strength Camp Portland, At Strength Camp Portland, we didn't just focus on physical strength; we cultivated a community centered around holistic health and personal growth. Martial Arts Mastery: With over 15 years of experience in Muay Thai and a lifelong devotion to martial arts, I bring a unique perspective to the world of boxing. Despite initial reservations from family, including my grandfather, a professional boxer himself, I've embraced the sport with fervor. My training extends beyond the ring, encompassing disciplines such as Jiu-Jitsu, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong, enriching my understanding of movement, balance, and mindfulness. Professional Certifications: In my pursuit of holistic wellness and performance optimization, I am a certified Chek practitioner and holistic lifestyle coach, holding a degree in holistic health. The Chek system, renowned for its comprehensive approach to corrective programming, aligns seamlessly with my philosophy of holistic well-being. My assessments are thorough and meticulous, ensuring that each client receives personalized guidance tailored to their needs.
